Sparkle & Shine

You may be thinking to yourself, “Kristine, another sequins outfit?”. And my answer would be “absolutely!” While this is my third outfit that features some sort of sequins garment within the last month, who’s counting! There is no better time to take advantage of wearing this festive fabric than the present. And this was yet another garment that I could not pass up. A flare hem, gold sequin skirt that was under $40?! It was practically calling my name. Then once I slipped it on, I knew that it was a winner. It has some stretch, which is necessary for me and the waistband is perfect for holding everything in place. It’s everything you want a sequin skirt to be and that is fun, flirty and festive.

Since the skirt is the highlight of this look, I paired it with a simple black top and strap up heels to complement. I opted for an off the shoulder top since its my favorite way to show a little skin this time of year. The shoes were a step up from just a plain high heel sandal but also doesn’t take away from the overall look.

If you need strapless bra recommendations, be sure to check out my post on my favorite brands.

Outfit details:

Top: ASOS (similar here and here) | Skirt: Macy’s (wearing a size XL) | Shoes: Charlotte Russe (similar)

I’m not trying to make you jealous or anything, I’m not trying to make you jealous or anything, but the weather has been in the 80s this past week in Los Angeles. I have just been loving it and @stitchfix sent me the perfect activewear sets to rock. This one, as well as another one I posted in my stories, are just so cute and fit so well.

Unfortunately pieces in this look are old. Boots are from @nadiaaboulhosn x @fashiontofigure collection that sold out. I link similar sweater dresses in the link in my bio and the same hat in a different color 🖤
#ad Let’s normalize celebrating your body, even #ad Let’s normalize celebrating your body, even if you desire to make changes to it. Let’s normalize working out for other reasons than just weight loss. Let’s focus on being the best version of ourselves, rather than the idea of another person’s life/body that we covet. Life is simply too short to not embrace your own amazing journey.

Connecting mind, body and spirit by doing a little beach yoga in this @lululemon gear and yoga mat. I’m awful at yoga if I’m being real. But I’m trying to do new things and allow my body to surprise me with its capabilities. Check out links to these items in my stories! @shopstyle #thesweatlife

These are just a fraction of the comments that I see. And while some of these are made in jest, your words and thoughts have so much power. You are not shaped like a (insert object). You are a person. And I don’t want to see this language anymore. K? Love ya!

I saw this quote and it stopped me in my tracks. Sometimes we get so caught up in our day-to-day or obsessing over things we don’t like about ourselves. In 2021, I’m challenging all of us (including myself) to think higher, think bigger. Our lives are so much more vast and meaningful than we imagine. Be the ocean...
