Fall is officially here! Can you believe it?! The Fall season always brings on a mix of emotions for me. On one hand, it is the realization that the year is coming to a close and the confirmation of how quickly time flies. On the other hand however, it is exciting to see the influx of Fall fashion trends from boots to scarves, leather to faux fur and everything in between. Living in Southern California, we don’t get to experience true seasons so it can be tricky to infuse on-trend Fall style into my everyday wardrobe. What I have found works well is to start transitioning my color palette to more of the darker, richer hues indicative of the season.
Olive has been a favorite color of mine to wear because of its versatility. This color really transcends seasons, being paired with lighter tones like blush pink in the Spring/Summer and darker tones like wine and camel in the cooler months. It almost serves as a neutral in that way and has the same qualities as black or white. I decided to go with a monochromatic olive look that was cool enough for the current temperature but was also a clear departure from Summer style. Finishing off my outfit with camel and brown accessories, I am officially ready to step into Fall.
