One thing that I love to do on my blog is be very realistic about my style. Although I love a good splurge here and there for those coveted pieces, the majority of my wardrobe consists of everyday garments that can take me from one look to the next. I’m talking about those tried and true, never fail pieces that are essential foundations for outfits. One of those pieces that I have highlighted today is the gray tee.
A gray t-shirt is like a hidden treasure that needs to be discovered more often. We all know that we need plain t-shirts to be the basis of layering or the key piece of a casual look, yes? While most people reach for a black or white tee as their neutral, I always reach for gray. Here’s why! Unlike neutrals that are on the opposite end of the color wheel, gray is right in the middle, meaning that you can pair it with darker items or you can pair it with lighter items and it still works. Although the same can be said for other colors as well, gray gives a look that balance it needs to be able to add in different elements. As you can see, I’ve worn my gray tee two ways to show that there are endless possibilities and also how a t-shirt can be anything but basic. Pair it with a fitted skirt and neutral tones or with pops of color or with whatever combination you prefer and it all works together seamlessly.
