We are officially entering into Winter, the season that no one likes. With all of the excitement of Fall, the newest fashion trends and the cooling temperatures, Winter is like the unwanted stepchild. Temperatures get too cold and all you want to do is stay in the house and hibernate. But life must go on and if you are going to step out, you might as well do it in style!
Dark colors are great for this time of year. Not only do they hide Winter hibernation weight, but they can look very chic and classic when put together. I wanted to do an all black look so I paired an asymmetrical jersey dress with a faux leather moto jacket to give two different textures. The key to doing a monochromatic look is texture. It helps to differentiate each garment so that everything doesn’t just blend in. For a subtle pop of color, I wore a wine colored wide brim hat and matching clutch and finished off the look with gold accessories. Winter, I’m ready for you!
