I’ve spent the past 5 days in New York City for Full Figured Fashion Week and CurvyCon and if you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know that it has been an action packed week. From Manhattan to Greenwich Village to Brooklyn, I officially left my mark on the streets of New York. Meeting fellow bloggers, brands and plus size fashionistas was truly a special experience. Here is a little insight into my trip.
I had the opportunity to visit the Rent The Runway store in Flatiron to select a dress for CurvyCon. If you are not already familiar with Rent The Runway, it is a company that allows women to rent high end dresses and evening wear for one-time events. So if you have a gala, a wedding or in my case, a conference to attend, you can get a designer dress at a low rental price. Rent The Runway has a plus size line with an amazing selection of dresses for us curvy girls. With stores in Chicago, Washington D.C., NYC and Las Vegas, you are sure to find the perfect look for any occasion.

Visiting the Monif C. Showroom. Finally got to meet the fabulous Monif and her team. I also got a sneak peek into the upcoming line and you are definitely in for a treat!
Wandering the streets of Greenwich Village
While in Greenwich Village, I stopped by the IYLIA Collection showroom. IYLIA is a shoe company started by the lovely Layla-joy Williams. As a shoe designer for the past 15 years, she branched out and started her own company. Her collection is fabulous! Be sure to check out her collection online.
Full Figured Fashion Week “Curves at Sea” cruise. I got to meet so many new faces including Cameo de Bore (pictured below) who makes unique handbags such as the one I’m rocking for the event. Be sure to visit her website for more designs!
Until next time NYC…
