Simplicity within fashion is definitely a learned skill. To be able to edit and tone down your outfit while still looking chic is not as easy as it looks. It’s a skill that I am still learning and this outfit is a perfect example of that. I bought these fabulous shoes from Zara and I originally styled them with a blue peplum tube top and a black pencil skirt. I thought that the colors went together perfectly and that it was going to be a hit. After taking some photos in it though, I realized that it was just all too much. It was too matchy-matchy and just had too many things going on. So I went back to the drawing board and decided to go with a simple LBD and a leather jacket to add a bit more texture. And voila! Sometimes simplicity is the best way to go.

I like this look a lot, & your pictures are beautiful? Is your photographer a professional or a friend with a photography hobby? I love the clarity of your photos & wonder if you use lighting & all that with your photos & what kind of camera is used? You have great style. Thank you so much for sharing & inspiring!

You definitely made simple look chic and effortless. I have to agree with you about some things being a little too much. For instance I have a blog post just sitting there waiting for me to post it, but for some reason I can’t bring myself to do it. I simply don’t like how those pics turned out. But you slay me every time! Keep up the great style inspiration, you definitely have a loyal follower here 🙂
